About The Wild Roots Guide & Sanne

I believe that our connection to nature is essential for our well-being and the regeneration of our earth. When we reconnect with the land, we not only reconnect with nature, but also with ourselves and the rhythms of life.

My approach bridges the wisdom of ancient earth skills with modern science, honoring instincts, intuition and science. Through herbalism, somatics, and deep nature connection, I guide people to feel truly held, grounded, and nourished - so they can build resilience, awaken their instincts, and cultivate a lasting relationship with the natural world.

This work is not just about forest therapy, nervous system regulation or herbs - it’s about belonging to the land, living in our bodies, honoring cycles, and remembering the lost art of marking time through ritual and ceremony. In a disconnected world, this is how we come home - to nature, to community, our bodies and our truest selves.

My own path to the wild

When I grew up my grandfather would take me off the beaten track, and we would venture out deep into the woods. On forest walks and endless wanders in meadows, my mother would name all plants and flowers. I'll be forever grateful to grow up with nature and stories of place and land.

During my childhood, especially my teenage years and early adulthood my health suffered so badly to the point I was bedridden most days.

One specific moment will always be a turning point: Friends invited me to go camping, and although my body had such a hard time, I dragged myself outside. I expected to feel more pain and tiredness - but the opposite was true. Somehow in that forest, I felt better.

This experience led me on a quest of learning more and finding way in how to integrate this wisdom in our modern world. In the presence of nature, I began to rewild my health, my nervous system and my work.

This is the soil from which my work grows.

My work in the world

I’m a certified nature-based somatic coach with a bachelor in psychology, change consultant, a trained herbalist, and a mentor to many - from individuals walking through burnout and life transitions, to spaceholders, creatives, and leadership teams.

My work has been featured magazines, and podcasts, and I’m consulted by organizations and businesses looking to bring more depth into their work.

But more than any title or training, what matters most is how I show up: with presence, compassion, and the belief that you don't need to be fixed - only to be met and brought back into connection.

I believe the living world is one interconnected web, and that we are not separate from it. We belong here.

A few things I believe to be true

  • Much of what we call “failure, overwhelm and burnout” today is actually disconnection.

  • Modern life often asks us to override our wild biology, ingraining this connection further.

  • I am not here to fix people. I am here to restore relationship, with yourself, others and the living world.

  • When these relationships are restored, something old and wise returns: Safety, connection, joy, resilience.

If you’re ready to reconnect with your inner knowing, your body, and the wild wisdom around you - you’re in the right place.
